Job Summary:

The Signage Production Supervisor will oversee the production process of way-finding signage projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and efficiency. This role involves understanding and implementing signage Bill of Quantities (BOQs), interpreting design specifications, and evaluating potential cost savings through cost re-engineering. The Supervisor will also be responsible for preparing material submittals, creating manufacturing Gantt charts, and leading a team of production supervisors and technicians to monitor the manufacturing process.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
    • Oversee the entire production process for way-finding signage projects.
    • Interpret and implement signage BOQs and design specifications accurately.
    • Evaluate and identify potential cost savings through cost re-engineering strategies.
    • Prepare and submit material submittals for client and internal approvals.
  2. Production Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop and maintain Gantt charts for manufacturing schedules.
    • Ensure adherence to project timelines and delivery deadlines.
    • Coordinate with various departments (design, procurement, logistics) to ensure smooth workflow.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise a team of production supervisors, technicians, and other production staff.
    • Provide training, guidance, and support to the production team.
    • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all signage meets design and quality specifications.
    • Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain production standards.
  5. Cost Management:
    • Monitor and manage production costs to stay within budget.
    • Identify areas for cost reduction without compromising on quality.
    • Prepare cost analysis reports for management review.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the production environment.
    • Conduct safety training sessions and enforce safety protocols.
    • Maintain proper documentation of safety procedures and incident reports.
  7. Communication and Reporting:
    • Maintain open and effective communication with the production manager, design team, and other stakeholders.
    • Prepare and present regular progress reports on production status.
    • Address any production-related issues and provide solutions promptly.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in signage production or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of way-finding signage projects and BOQs.
  • Proven experience in cost re-engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Proficiency in project management software, including Gantt chart creation, Method statements, Risk assessment etc
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or similar).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a production environment.
