Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Territory Manager to lead and expand our business within the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business development, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the growth and performance of the regional team. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in sales, business development, and team management.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to expand the company’s presence and relevance in the MENA region through ENG/NMGH regional offices.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.

• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and projects.

• Lead the negotiation and closing of deals with key clients.

• Be responsible to on-board products of clients for online and offline representation & entry into the regional MENA markets, even outside of the traditional Marketplace agency business scope, and researching into client warehousing set-ups and distribution arrangements with monetising of all revenues/costs, import/export, eventually leading to a more successful relationship with distributors & product owners.

Client Relationship Management:

• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

• Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored solutions that deliver value.

• Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and identify opportunities for further growth.

Team Management:

• As the business grows to source, recruit, train, and mentor a high performing regional team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

• Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Lead and motivate the team to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

• Ensure effective collaboration and communication within the team and with other departments.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

• Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs.

• Analyse regional market data and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making.

• Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to effectively position the company’s products and services in the MENA region.

• Monitor and report on regional business performance, including sales forecasts, budgets, and KPIs.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other regions, to support business coming into the MENA region, but also brands / clients wanting to expand into other regions where we are based.

• Participate in the development of marketing campaigns and promotional activities tailored to the MENA region.

• Collaborate with other Regional Directors/Managers to share best practices and drive overall business growth.

• Work closely with HQ (UK / EU) operational teams to support you in prospect / client proposals and growth plans / MAPs (Market Approach Plans).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

• Proven track record of success in driving business growth and managing key client relationships within the MENA region.

• Strong understanding of the MENA market, including cultural, economic, and regulatory factors.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic or another regional language is a preferred.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the MENA region.

• The successful candidate will be able to mould revenues to break even within 4 months.
